The End of Time Logo

End of Time Logo

End of Time’s logo is based on the Mayan Long Count Calendar with images from the Dresden Codex.

December 20, 2012 (wet calendar) marks the end of the 13th b’ak’tun or cycle, in a larger cycle, Piktun, totalling 20 B’ak’tun. A b’ak’tun is 394 wet years.

The end of the 13th b’ak’tun is the end of a male-dominated cycle. But the end of something, is also the beginning of something.

On December 21, 2012 we will start the 14th cycle, and power is going to be transferred to the snake diety KuKulKan. Mayan dates in this cycle can be expressed with the hindu-arabic numbers starting

The start of the 14th b’ak’tun (with numbers starting in ’13’ as our calendar starts the years of the 21st century with the number ’20’) heralds a new age of spiritual enlightenment as the planet Venus makes significant transits across the sun and planetary stewardship transfers to the hands of the feminine. The element in the logo consisting of three dots above two lines is the number '13' in the Mayan number system.

Our glyph is adapted from a glyph on the last page of the Dresden Codex, the Mayan Chronicle of Time, and represents the feminine receiving power. As Time Ends, Time Begins anew. We are at the cusp of the end of old ways of doing things, the Wet ways, and moving into the Dry, freeing our feminine energy to move towards spiritual enlightenment beyond earthly boundaries.

Thus do we, here at the End of Time, look forward to a new beginning.
